2022 COVID-19 safety requirements for all students and teachers

We will continue to revise our guidelines as circumstances evolve. Let us know if you have any questions!

• Do not come to class in person if you have come in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 7 days, or if you have any out-of-the-ordinary symptoms of COVID, including: fever, cough, flu-like symptoms, headache, sore throat, dry cough, stuffy nose, diarrhea, digestive, loss of taste or smell. We eagerly welcome you back to the class 7 days after confirmed exposure, and once you’ve had a negative PCR test. If you’ve had an exposure or are sick, please let us know!

• If you test positive for COVID after class, please inform one of the teachers, so we can appropriately notify everyone.

• All attendees are required to wear a mask for the duration of in-person classes. Teachers will not wear a mask while teaching; they will either wear a face-shield or take a rapid test before class.

• Attendees must maintain 6 feet from other participants for the duration of the classes, including plant walks.

• Anyone coming in to contact with shared objects (ie tools, medicine bottles etc.) must wear gloves or practice hand sanitizing measures (washing hands or using hand sanitizer before and after touching).

• Classes will be held entirely outside! Please dress for the weather and bring  anything you will need to be comfortable for class.

• Any indoor spaces that we use (bathrooms, apothecary, barn etc.) will be limited to one person at a time. Masks must be worn at all times in any indoor space, and everyone must follow strict hand sanitizing measures, cleaning of surfaces and air purification as needed.

• If someone needs a break from wearing a mask for health reasons, the person must be at least 100 feet from other people in class.

• For snacking or drinking during class, please step at least 15 feet to eat or drink as needed. Scheduled breaks and lunch time are allotted for people to eat at physical distance.

• Live video classes are available for people to participate in for the majority of classes. Video recordings available afterwards.
